As the temperature climbs, finding ways to keep our canine companions cool and entertained becomes a priority. To this end, we decided to test out a sprinkler set designed for children but also suitable for small dogs who also enjoy frolicking in water on sweltering days.The base of the sprinkler is crafted from sturdy plastic, which has sufficient weight to keep the unit stable during use.The setup process is straightforward. After assembling the various components, the base easily attaches to a standard garden hose. Turning on the tap initiates the fun, with water spraying out in a all directions. The sprinkler offers flexibility in its use; you can opt to attach a hoop for the dogs to jump through, or simply let them play in the sprays of water. In our case, both configurations provided our dogs with hours of enjoyment.The spray height was also impressive, ensuring that the water reached far enough to engage the dogs without being overwhelming. Inexpensive and fun but limited
I got this for use at the family caravan and intended for use by young kids and our dog.It’s easy to put together and when done it’s smaller than I was expecting. It’s OK for very small kids and dogs but no bigger than that.In terms of performance, it requires good water pressure to get the circular spray to operate anywhere near the top of the circle. The straight and flat build worked a little better but doesn’t really cover a large area.As a novelty toy involving water in good weather its okay, but no more than that.

Good fun but cheap and cheerful
This is a great summer toy for the hot weather, however you need to disregard the pictures of the product as theyâre misleading. Itâs considerably smaller than implied but it does still do the job of getting the kids wet.Itâs basically an axle thatâs driven by the water pressure from the hosepipe. You get two attachments, the first is a bar that rotates and sends out vertical jets and is great for jumping over and trying to dodge. The ring needs to be assembled and creates a nice little hoop effect with the water squirting into the centre. Itâs not as big as it looks so larger children wonât be jumping through it very easily.Itâs okay for the money and itâs fairly sturdy, although I suspect if itâs used a lot youâll probably get one summer out of it.

Donât believe what description shows
 No way can kids jump through this unless they are tiny. Our dog barely gets through it. Only sprays water half way round the ring if using the straight part water only rises about a foot. Will keep just for the dog but useless for kids

Cheap and great for hours of fun in the garden
Perfect outside toy for many hours of fun in hot summer days. Price is really great. The quality is maybe not the best, made from cheap plastic, but thus is just nice water sprinkle and my little one was so happy. It works great. Easy to connect it. Recommmend it!!!

Images somewhat misleading
I’ve been very conflicted about how to rate this, as it’s fairly cheap and just about serves my purposes, but the images in the listing do mislead quite a lot by suggesting that older children could jump through it, which certainly wouldn’t be possible in reality. There are measurements in the listing, but only in inches, and it still doesn’t detract from the size of the children portrayed in the images. I wouldn’t imagine that any child small enough to jump through this with head clearance would be old enough to have the mobility or coordination to do so.However, I got this for my small Border Collie, and though she didn’t actually jump through it, she would certainly fit, and she did love dipping her head into the middle to catch the spray.It was easy to put together, though it’s fairly lightweight. There are holes pointing towards the centre of the hoop and also on one side of each section, so that the water pressure causes it to rotate (another level of difficulty for the tiny child that might be trying to get through it). We had the tap on full, and the inward spray only worked up to the 10 and 2 O’clock position, with no water reaching the top pieces. The side spray only emerged from the very lowest pieces, so it rotated fairly slowly- if pressure is higher in your area, it’s likely to rotate faster. The base is reasonably stable, but the dog did manage to knock it over a couple of times and then remove the hoop from the base (though she was going for the water, and wasn’t actually trying to move the unit itself).While it will entertain the dog through the summer, it doesn’t work to its full potential with the water pressure in our region, I think it’s a little too small for kids who are big enough to be able to play in it, and it could be a bit more robust. It’s cheap, though.

Cheap but fun!
The item itself is better than expected. Itâs good quality hard plastic and even comes with some small rubber washes to prevent leaks. Easy to assemble and set up and itâs just plug and play with the hose. We use the straight connector more which creates a nice pattern and spins. The circle connector must require tremendous pressure to work properly. We have great water pressure yet the water failed to go past the kid point of the ring. It does also spin when in use tho. We actually have strapped this on the gazebo above the hot tin and it creates a rainfall effect when the kids are playing in there.I think for the price you canât complain. Itâs a good item and kids will enjoy this in the garden in a summers day. And for under a tenner you canât complain!

Great fun in the recent hot weather! We’ve had so much fun with this in the garden. It’s relatively simple and made of lightweight plastics but it worked well and the kids loved it.
