Are These Loud?
Any air conditioner has to not only expel cooled air firmly into a room but suck the warm air in and expel it – this is quite clearly not a silent process! Anyone who has been abroad and experienced the air conditioners in hotel rooms will know they aren`t silent! Having said that at a maximum noise of 54db they aren`t loud but if you are having them on maximum cooling and you are trying to watch the TV then expect to have to raise the volume slightly! Most People will put them in their bedroom an hour before going to bed to lower the temperature and then if you can`t sleep with a noise you can turn it off, or if you don`t mind a little noise then turn the fan down, put the timer on for an hour and drift off to sleep with cooling air being blown around you.
Do They Need Window Vents?
The simple answer is no this isn`t a requirement of the unit to work, however if you understand the principle of how the unit works most efficiently they yes it is advisable. The TruCool air conditioner works by pumping cold condensed air into the room while sucking in the hot air already in the room and expelling it outside. So if you don`t have an exhaust duct to outside then the hot air will just be exited behind the unit back into the room, so the front of the room will cool down and the back will stay the same so the overall cooling effect will be reduced. The unit comes with a kit for sliding windows – but to operate it you don`t NEED to install this kit – you can simply pop the exhaust tube out of a window and it will work just as well.
Do They Heat as Well?
We think the heating function of these units is a fantastic addition and something a lot of these don`t have on the market. Anyone with a conservatory will know what even with a radiator in there they can be cold in the autumn/winter and require another source of heat to warm them up! Our units can do this job, providing a good level of warmth to certain rooms when the main central heating is off or the room itself is naturally cool (conservatory/garage etc)

Q – How well with this cool my room?
A – The size of the room is key here of course. At 9000BTU this TruCool air conditioner is more than capable of efficiently cooling a good sized room – we would estimate it efficient for a room 26 by 26 feet. (8 by 8 meters). Other factors come into play such as insulation, whether the doors are all closed, electrical appliances on in the room (which generate heat), obviously the weather and also how the unit is installed/used (see the next question for further information)

A – A user downloads an app called Tuya Smart and then connects the unit to the app, then every function on the unit can be controlled via the app. Please note – only 2.5gHz wifi will work with this. You can then connect other devices to it.

Wow amazing
What a little treat. So cold and refreshing. The first one arrived and it was faulty. Contacted the seller and another was sent out straight away. Excellent customer service and I highly recommend them as a seller and especially the product. It’s managed to cool the room from 23’c to 18’c in less then 20 mins.Most likely will get another one for the kids bedroom. It’s really compact.It has so many features like heat, fan dehumidifier and the best bit it has WiFi so can control it from anywhere. Ideal to set it on, on the way home from work.Again highly recommend. So much better then my last one as didn’t last long.

A little loud but very effective
The unit was a little larger and much heavier than imagined, and when I turned it on the first time I was a little shocked by how loud it is. However, it is very good at cooling the room down in a short amount of time, and after a while the loudness kind of fades into the background. Once it is properly installed in the hallway and feeds cold air to the main living areas the sound wonât be an issue.I am also looking into ways to reduce the noise, for example wrapping the inverter in a blanket.The smart phone app is really useful and not usually available at the price that the unit was on offer for at the time of purchase.Iâm not sure how effective it is at dehumidifying as even after an hour none of my air monitors registered a difference in the humidity.Sleep mode is for people who can sleep in a loud room. It would be better if, like air purifiers, the sleep mode means extra quiet, even if not super efficient.Overall, was amazing value for £99, but I wouldnât pay the full RRP.

Must buy Great product
Ordered this as we have a 3 story house and the top room gets very warm. Wasnât sure how good it was going to be or if it would even work however once we had it set up turned it on shut the windows and doors and the room dropped 2° within 15 minutes. Very easy to settle I would recommend you leave the unit stud for a couple of hours once you receive as itâs got refrigerant gas inside Once turned on connect to the hose and press power. Unit has WiFi and con be controlled via Alexa or google.

Good cooling
Pretty powerful cooling, even in my south facing conservatory. The heating simply doesn’t work (though I didn’t buy it for that). The app is terrible, again not a deal breaker, but it makes me wonder why bother at all. The exhaust attachments are useless, actually less than useless, I’ve had to bodge another hose I had.Overall, I bought it for the cooling, and so far that works well, but the things that don’t work are concerning me. I’m still deciding whether to request a refund, as it doesn’t seem quite ready for market and I’m not confident that it won’t break down.

Major disappointment – don’t bother buying this product
This unit (and I’ve had 2 now, as the first one had to be replaced) doesn’t get any cooler that 25 (my room is also 25 and it’s only 22 outside, so I’ve gone back to leaving the window open and not bothered using the aircon). On the 40 degree day, it managed to get the room down to 33 (which was no point to be honest). I’ve tried insulating around the window and like I said, I’ve tried 2 units but still, no good.The only good thing was the seller had great communication and replaced the first unit, but clearly it’s just not a good product. Complete waste of money. I’m reaching out to the seller to understand what the return policy is and I’ll update as soon as I know.

Beat the UK heat
Brilliant product. Bought this in advance of the summer as we cannot stand the heat in the UK now and when we tested it on a warmish day recently it made the room freezing cold! The heat function is a nice addition too. Remote works well as does the wifi function. We used the vent out of the window as this is how it is supposed to be used but with just the unit on and no vent it still blows cold air at you! Bring on the warm weather.

Excellent little unit
Bought this in the very hot weather so not used it as a heater yet. It does the job it claims it does. I have bought 2, one for home and one for our small office. I would say it does about the room size stated. It struggled to make a difference in our garden room (18ft x 18ft and large glass areas) but in the main part of the house it worked well. We vented it outside. it is noisy but no worse than any other air con unit. On the lower settings the noise definitely reduces. I am happy with it as a purchase and would buy again.
My Experience –
Quieter and smaller than comparable units
Noise is an important factor and this is quieter than comparable models and a probreeze I bought (which is otherwise fine). It is also slightly smaller. The hose is 1.5m like most and like most could benefit from a few more cm. Like most it’s attachment to the machine is a weak point as it tends to come loose with any pressure put on it. I can put up with these things. Cooling function works but I’d need to try it for longer for a definitive report on this function.
