    Got to suck quite hard
I bought this for airsoft uses, at big sites its quite handy to have if you’re on an all day game and want to stay out as long as possible, it runs as a backup to my bottles / bladder of water. All in all I’ve not had dysentery (yet) from uses it, all you need to be prepared for is you need to suck on the straw quite hard to get liquid which can be a bit to get used to.

    No easy instructions
They did not come with easy to understand instructions so I actually have no idea how to use it really. I have not needed to use it yet but I think I might be able to work it out. The instructions are really difficult to comprehend and me and my partner paid a lot of money for these. That being said, although we have not tried them yet, they look like they do the job (you can see the filters inside etc.) and they have a smart design. Please look at a review whereby the user has actually tested them out. Sorry. Please see enclosed picture for the size/scale of how big they are compared to a human hand.

    Good item
Came on time. Well packaged .very decent shelf life . Easily as good as others costing twice the amount. I’ll probably buy a couple more,to put in my prep kit.

use with a squeezable bottle for filling a container or sip direct
Personal water filterThese are great to keep on hand for camping. These small tube type gadgets are good for individual use as you can sip from quite small water sources (even a puddle if you are desperate) .They are just a plastic tube with filtration materials inside and good for cleaning water without chemicals in.Very lightweight and easy to stow away in a small space. Not for sea water either and you shouldnt use them for carbinated or sweetened drinks or those with strong flavours in ,in the hope you will remove the flavour. To use them you can do 3 things.First stick the spout end in your mouth and the tube end in non clean water and sipSecond put a bottle on the tube end with the dirty water in and sip out of the spout endthird put a bottle on the tube end without the tube and turn the whole thing upsidedown, then squeeze the bottle to fill a container. This last is useful where there are more drinkers and only the one water contraption.I tested this one in the garden with a bucket of rain catchment water which as you can see was not very appetising but no midge larvae as it has a solid cover.Instead of just holding the tube in the bucket, I filled an old pop bottle and did the turning upsidedown procedure and got a good clean glass full.It tastes like normal water and all the bits and slight greeness are gone( not obvious in the photos)For our bug out/prepping bags, these fit really well as they are small and lightweight and you dont have to use batteries to get them to work. That means you can put one in a bag and leave it there and it will work when you want it to.Also good for when the drinking water is suddenly unavailable at home and there is a rain tub full in the garden.Good for lightweight back packing instead of carrying water with you if you know you wont be able to boil water. The thread on the gadget fits a coke type bottle from small upto 2 litre size. You could also use a hydration bladder and use the pipe to connect to it.

Brilliant idea – life saver and weight saver
Extremely useful and a superb ideaI haven’t had a chance to use this yet and still have to update my review next week when I go on a hike in the peaksGreat idea – as it will give you the ability to have access to clean water in difficult situationsSo to have this small thing in your back pack could be a life saver.Easy to use and set up – handling it, it’s such a simple deviceIt’ll give you over 55 gallons of filtered water if required – just dip into a river or clean lakeOf course you’re never going to be using this in stagnant pools swamps etc unless in an emergency and at great need. And even then that’ll be a risk.you can drink direct from nice brooks, streams etc – if walking near these – and save weight on water bottlesBut for drinking from rivers and lakes as an emergency back up life saving item this is brilliant
