  1. NICOLA WOOD

    Great value
Bought this then heatwave ended so today is first day used as temperatures have shot up again. Really does throw out cold air compared to my tower fan. Added ice cubes to the water tray as well as the frozen ice blocks and was happy with result. Fiddly to empty though but am sure I’ll improve with practice. Noise level on max speed is louder than most fans but I’m happy to turn tv up a bit to stay cool

  2. danni jia

    Works like a mini aircon
Does the work for a room size up to 14sm. Cooling down slowly but you don’t want to the freeze comes with the aircon but prefer slowly pleasant cooling down then yes !

  3. Bobsicle

    Just get a cheap fan
It’s really not worth spending this much money on a fan. It might cool the air a little bit, but it is basically just a fan you put water and ice inside. I wish I just got a normal fan.

  5. Yours Truly

    Honestly?
It’s incredibly noisy — I am not exaggerating.I couldn’t even hear the TV over this cooler in ‘cool’ mode, and I sure as hell wasn’t going to try sleeping in the same room as it. I’m surprised there are people saying the noise is fine, but I’d wager they forgot to put water into it, or they simply didn’t turn ‘cool’ on, because that’s when it sounds like you’re surrounded by loads of large fish tank pumps; it’s pretty bad. It’s funny, because the ad shows a woman all harmoniously posed right next to it, which is incredibly misleading, to say the least. If you’re a headphones user, especially if you have NC headphones, you could probably make do with the noise from the cooler, but even with NC headphones, which I have, it’s pretty damn loud. I can’t imagine sitting next it; that’d probably give me a headache, frankly. The ‘cool’ mode part of it isn’t all that great, but it’s a bit strange that only half of the fan area seems to be in effect; it’s almost as if there was a design fault they had to quickly deal with last minute. In all fairness, these machines are probably better for those of you suffering with dry heat. Here in the UK, we tend to get heat with high humidity. This thing looks pretty far bigger in the pictures, but rest assured, it’s tiny. It’s about twice the height and width of my kettle. It might just be that I’m so used to my old cooler, which was about 3-4x the size.I know coolers can be great in the heat, even if these things do make things incredibly humid, they make it manageable, at least with the heatwaves we get in the UK. This one, however, just doesn’t cut it at all. In-fact, it makes things worse. As a regular fan, it’s usable, so this thing will probably not get thrown out or given away, at least not yet.The controller is cheap, but it’s good enough, as it’s not like you need some fancy controller for this cooler. The oscillation works, contrary to what another reviewer said, but because of only half (left side) the fan area actually throwing out air properly, it’s very limited. My old cooler was simple: you’d just slide out the bottom water container and empty it; problem solved. Unfortunately, this wee thing makes it really clunky, because you have to try to get a screwdriver in there, unscrew the thingy that’s connected to the tray, empty the tray, then do then screw it back in again. On the bright side, it’s not too much of an eye-sore, and it’s nice to have touch buttons on the machine itself. If I were to value this thing, I’d go for about £40-£50, but certainly not the £85 they have the audacity to charge for it. For the price they’re charging, you can get much, much, MUCH better than this thing, trust me.For perspective, my old cooler was a much larger, quieter, and easier-to-use heater, cooler, and regular fan, with a very large water tray, and it was around £90-100, and that was bought in-store!

  6. Mr. Geoffrey G. Udall

    Good all round purchase
Very pleased, used in bedroom for recent hot spell. when used with ice packs you can get about 6 hours of really cool/cold air flow which helped getting a decent nights sleep in unbearable conditions. would recommend to anyone who wants a low budget air cooler

  7. Um Isra

    Design flaw – returned
The unit is very small and light which was great but it had one design flaw so we had to return. We never turned it on so not sure how it performs. The water tank at the back cannot be removed completely and in order to empty it the whole unit needs to be carried and taken to a sink where you then need to tilt it side ways to empty the tank. This is very inconvenient, I brought this for my mum who has no movement on one side of her body so she wouldn’t be able to do this, but even me as an able person would find this rather annoying to do all the time. I dont know if others are all designed the same way? But it isn’t practical to carry the whole unit and have it over a sink/toilet/bathroom

  8. Bobby

    Lightweight
It’s definitely cooler when the ice packs are in it .. you can adjust the vents up and down but I think a taller one would be better .
