Saviour through the recent heat wave !
I work from home and my office room windows get sunlight through out the day. While this is nice to have most of the year, during the recent heat waves it turned the room into an oven. My table fan didn’t help as it just kept circulating hot air. I looked at portable air conditioners and those were too expensive to buy and run during these high energy price times. That’s when I stumbled upon this mini cooler. Tbh, I was a bit skeptical but then took the plunge thinking that if it didn’t work well, I would just return it for a refund.That situation didn’t arise and I was glad to have purchased it. It has really saved me from the heat over the past few days. The fan noise levels are much lower than my table fan, the air throw is surprisingly long and the footprint on my window sill is very small. Simple to use with a button that toggles between ON-low speed, med speed, high speed and long press to switch off. The long-press to switch off was a bit unintuitive and I had been switching it off at the mains before I figured it out. I fill it with cold water and drop in an ice cube and a few drops of essential oils and voila ….cool air that continues to keep the room cool. The indicator light comes on when the water level is low. Water capacity is decent and I can top it up using a flip cover at the back…although I wish the flip cover opened a bit wider…I can tilt the top section as it is hinged to fill the whole tank easily but I figured using a regular water bottle makes it easy to fill at the back without spilling. The rim lights look cool and can be changed in color by repeatedly pressing the light button. They can be put on auto mode or switched off (the default behaviour). Talking of default behaviour, at switch-on, it runs just a regular fan and I have to press the cooling button to get the water mist cooling behaviour. There seems to be a switch-off timer too which I haven’t actually used. After stopping the fan, a few drops of water seem to get accumulated at the bottom of the ring, probably due to condensation…easy to wipe off with a tissue or just ignore it to dry on it’s own. I do have a bit of hay fever so the humidity in the room seems to have helped.

Brilliant Fan
My sister recommended this as we’re both going through the menopause. What I love about it is that it has the water section to have mist in the air while it’s working making even cooler, although it’s not a very big tank so not last long but long enough. It is a really good idea. It does have a glowing light around it which I don’t really see the need for but it does looks nice (maybe for children of safe age as a night light). It’s very good with the 3 speeds. You really do cool from quite a distance too. I have mine on my draws in the bedroom and it does reach me in the bed which is a good 10 feet away. It also has a 2 hour and 4 hour timer which is great to use at night. I can’t sleep with noise but although this is not silent, I did manage to sleep eventually. Only thing that would make it perfect is if it oscillated but due to the design that wouldn’t be possible. Got a good length of cable which is a bonus these days. Well worth it

Has stopped working now – 10days of use
Updated review 09/08/21 – after having the unit for about a month and using it for less than 10days in total, it has now stopped working. Very disappointing indeed – i would NOT recommend this product for the amount i paid. I have made contact with the supplier, but they ignored all my previous emails, so doubt i will get anywhere.Orginal review:I was a bit sceptical about buying this air con unit as not really sure if it would make a difference to our bedroom (not massive) and actually blow out cold air during the night – but surprisingly it did.The colder the water (i add about 4 ice cubes to the water), the colder the air it circulates. It has 2 cold settings (or you can just use the fan without water), i use it on the less cool setting as this seems to make the water last longer (4 hrs using the timer) and the ice blocks help anyway.It is also quieter than i thought it would be, though again i use it on the slowest fan speed setting to allow the water to last – and this has not made it harder to sleep. It does get noisier if you turn the fan speed up though. The timer function can be set to 2 or 4 hrs or you can just leave it on. You can hear the water dripping slightly, but this is more like one of those sleeping sound aids – waves, rain, wind etc.The unit seems well built, though i would say that the clasp that holds the two sections together is not that great – takes a few attempts for it to lock, but once locked it seems ok. The fan itself is quite large so has a good throw – i.e the cold air travels a good distance.The light function comes in handy in a dark room, so you don’t knock it over during the night.All in all, well worth the money.

Quite portable fan
This fan has alot to offer, its a fan with 3 speed setting and you can use a s a cooler by adding water. I am impressed with how quite it is even at full speed. It also has different lights which is useful as kids loved it. We can easily move it from one room to another where needed. I am using this on my Office desk and it doest take alot of space. Definitely recommend this for this summer, must have gadget

Not very cold but has some nice features
we purchased this in the middle of the last heat wave when our 6 year old daughter was struggling to sleep. tbh even filled with ice I don’t think the air feels any cooler (my wife thought it was cooler) but it does have some decent features such as 3 fan speeds (its pretty quiet on the low setting). I like the 4hr time for bedtime and it can light up. if you want to cool you room don’t buy this but if you want something better than a standard fan then this could be an option

Works great, no problems
Item cools quite nicely. Fan is pretty quiet. Water lasts for a few hours. There IS a fair amount of compensation, but I wouldn’t have even noticed it if I hadn’t looked for it – the water doesn’t leak, or spill at all, so it will just sit around the bezel.Fan spins at three adjustable speeds, and there are two levels for the humidifier – I like to keep it on weak. To be honest, the fan can’t cool even an average sized room by itself. I use it to cool me while I sit at my desk, and this it can do quite nicely.
