If, like me, you have bought a portable air conditioning unit for the c.4 days a year that we have some good weather in the UK – then you’ll know that hoiking the hot air hose out of the window and then clamping the window onto the hose to hold it in place while half the hot air comes back into the room is pretty annoying.This kit solves that by making a seal for the hose to be attached to and for the hot air to stay outside – therefore helping to cool the room down quicker.This kit is simple to put together and works well – comes with all the bits you need and can be packed away once the Uk weather reverts to type.For £15 this is a good deal and worth the price.

Seems to be well made. Not too noisy.But I’m not sure how accurate the 9,000 btu rating is. It does not cool as quickly as my current 8,000 btu machine.

Easy to fit and works well
This is simple to install and has been a good solution to the old problem of running an air conditioner through an open window without simultaneously letting the outside hot air into the property. Once fitted to the window the lightweight silver material does a great job of keeping hot air and flying insects outside.The kit comes tidily packed in a resealable bag with the window sealing material, a roll of hook and loop adhesive for attaching it, an instruction manual and a couple of cable ties. The ties were not mentioned in the instructions but I assume they are included to further attach the vent pipe to the window seal material incase the standard method doesn’t work well enough for you.I’ve used kits like this before and, after cleaning the window frame thoroughly, it only took me a few minutes to get it installed. The hook and loop fastening tape has proven to stick well and I have not needed to use the cable ties to keep the vent pipe in place. I’m able to close the window whilst keeping the kit installed for use the next day and the material looks sturdy enough to last the summer, and maybe further seasons. I’m very happy.

**Review:**I recently purchased an AC unit from this company, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. From the start, the unit tripped our fuse box numerous times, causing inconvenience and frustration. To make matters worse, it started smoking when plugged in, posing a serious safety hazard. This product is clearly defective and dangerous. I would strongly advise against buying from this company. Total waste of money and a potential fire hazard!

Good quality
I got this to use with my portable air conditioner, and it works well. It effectively seals the cool air inside the room. It’s easy to set up, and the quality seems good. The zip quality is good, too, slight on a theeth very well. The kit includes all the necessary parts, including a cable tie to hang the AC exhaust pipe. I have been using this for two weeks now; it is premature to comment on its longevity. If there is anything worth mentioning, I will update my review.

Easy to install although the window kit isnât suitable for a casement window. Itâs only suitable for windows that slide. Itâs incredibly loud and will trial it for a week to see if itâs worth keeping. Does seem to cool the room relatively quickly. Itâs also very heavy (roughly 22kg) so if you need to move it up and down stairs be warned itâs hard going. For the price itâs ok but having used portable air cons before this is definitely the noisiest
