Use The portable air conditioner can be used in various applications – it can easily be moved from one room to the other using the ergonomic side handles and wheels. Rating The Compact 8 P model is suitable for spaces up to 60 m³ (maximum approximate value for residential environments with a mild climate – cooling only). The following factors that may reduce its efficacy must nonetheless be considered:, Glass panelled surfaces, Latitude and altitude of the home, Wall insulation, Ceilings; flooring; windows, Heat sources (for example the kitchen), Exposed side, Room occupancy, Sunlight, Room height, etc… Installation There are two possible types of installation:, FIXED by drilling a hole into the wall or glass (diameter 127 mm) where the flange – supplied standard – is then attached to insert the air exhaust hose coupling; , MOBILE / TEMPORARY: by keeping the window ajar and using the supplied accessories to insulate the room. How does it work? The portable air conditioner is designed to eliminate the humidity and heat in the room – expelling it outside by means of the extendable air exhaust hose (max. 1.5 metres long) supplied standard. Cooling Gas The operation of the compressor and therefore of the portable air conditioner is made possible thanks to the cooling gas pre-charged into the machine during its manufacture. Once the air conditioner has been charged – it is hermetically sealed. The pre-charged gas in the machine is sufficient to have the correct operation of the air conditioner for its entire life cycle: therefore – it doesn’t need to be recharged with additional gas over the years. Is it quiet? The portable air conditioner incorporates – in a single unit – all the technology of a traditional fixed air conditioner (consisting in an internal and external unit) and therefore also the compressor itself. It therefore follows that the perceived noise cannot be the same as that of a fixed air conditioner. Many users who have chosen Olimpia Splendid have found themselves extremely satisfied with the level of silence and comfort offered by Dolceclima portable air conditioners. Functions Fan mode: Adjustable 2 fan speed. Fan only mode is also available. , Dehumidification mode, Auto mode, Sleep mode: gradually increases the temperature set and ensures reduced noise for greater wellbeing at night. , Turbo mode: Maximum fan speed. Extra cool, How is the humidity eliminated In the form of condensate: , In summer the condensate is atomised and expelled outside together with the hot air extracted from the room (a single 1.5 metre flexible hose); , In dehumidification mode (during seasons other than summer) the condensate ends up in a tank which must be drained by connecting the small hose at the back of the air conditioner;, For complete unit drainage the condensate will need to be drained through a small hose. Hot air exhaust hose Necessary in cooling and dehumidification mode in summer., In dehumidification mode – during seasons other than summer – the hose isn’t needed and is connected only to drain the condensate. Air filtering In addition to cooling and dehumidifying, Dolceclima Compact also filters the air! , The dust filter – easy to extract and clean – is included. Accessories provided 1. Flexible hose for air expulsion (cooling and automatic mode) , 2. Terminal for flexible hose machine side , 3. Terminal for flexible hose for SLIDER installation , 4. SLIDER for installation on sliding / roller window , 5. SLIDER locking pin , 6. Terminal for flexible hose and flange for fixed installation , 7. 2X Insulation for SLIDER installation , 8. Plugs for fixed installation flange , 9. Remote control / Manual , 10. Condensate drain pipe (dehumidification mode only) Autorestart Function in case a black-out occurs the appliance stores the former function mode and start up again when re-pow-ered by recovering all previous settings

Customers like the ease of use of the air conditioner. They mention that it’s simple to set up and use, with a handy remote. They also like the quality, appearance, and temperature. That said, opinions are mixed on noise, size, value, and the remote control.

Works very well, cools a room quickly.
I bought this as there was talk of a heatwave in 2022, the heatwave came and this was great. We’re a family of 4 including a 4 year old and a 7 month old baby. With temperatures approaching 40° outside this made a huge difference. Out lounge was about 29° this bought it down to 23° in about 20-30 minutes, approx 4x5m room. It made the room very comfortable. We also used it a little in the bedroom for a couple of nights – it’s a little heavy to move upstairs but entirely possible for an a led bodied person, don’t use the side handles, lift it from the bottom and walk up. Carefully. With regards to the unit itself it’s better looking that most units, although air con units are never particularly attractive! Nice curves, duck egg coloured plastic at the top. Nice clear display. It doesn’t osolate, it does have 2 vertical fins to aim the cool air. Its fairly noisy but they all are, it was nothing too bad. Maybe need to turn the TV up a notch but nothing bad.Assembly is easy, hose on the back and plug it in. I left it 2 hours after delivery incase it had been on its side.App works well, we get 4 hours of cheap electricity overnight so I set the timer to turn on & off for those 4 hours, that worked well. Not a cheap option but not bad looking, works well too.

Overall decent product, just too expensive in my opinion
The first thing I want to say which I find incredibly gross and have no idea how it could even happen. As you can see from the pictures I posted one of the parts for the hose has what looks to be blood and hair on it. Completely unacceptable and I will definitely be getting in contact with the company about this. The review:The packaging that the ac unit came in was pretty bashed up (see pictures) so I’m pretty unhappy about that. I wish there was more to the packaging since I paid over £300 for this unit. The cooling for me on a mild day is brilliant. I will update in future when we have hotter days again but for now it seems like it actually works pretty well! When the unit started up at first for me it made weird buzzing noises (see video above) but then it stopped shortly after I stopped recording. Now for me compared to the fan I had previously this ac isn’t too loud. Be realistic with what you’re expecting it is a box of refrigerant and fans it’s going to make some noise. There is no swing or tilt option on the fan which is a bit rubbish but I don’t think it really makes much of a difference. The hose that comes with the ac unit to exhaust air through the window is pretty wide in diameter which is a bit of a hassle if you have inward opening windows it doesn’t really fit in any window kits so I now have to just open the window and hang it out. It works but the hose isn’t very long so it may fall back into the room, only time will tell. Wish it wasn’t so wide in diameter and wish it was longer. It is of a semi rigid design and feels pretty solid. The wheels at the base of the unit aren’t the best on carpet because they are so small but it still moves more than it would without them. The supplied window kit doesn’t work for me in my use case. And the attachment with the blood and hair on it is pretty gross so I’m not touching it. (It looks to be just a seal for the end of the hose so I assume it just stops things from getting in from the outside if you plan on having the hose permanently out the window)The remote in my opinion is very dated and the range of functions and just range in general are pretty rubbish. Could be better.Overall I’m pretty unhappy with the price I paid for the unit, it came pretty bashed up so I assume it wasn’t treated well at all in transit. It’s far too early to tell what the longevity of this item will be but if there are any issues I’m confident that I’ll get my money back through the supplier or amazon. I personally think that the seller should provide a partial refund due to the condition of the package and the absolutely disgusting bodily fluids on some of the parts and that is what I’ll be pursuing.I hope your delivery and luck with parts are better than mine.Would I buy another one? No.Am I happy with the price? No.Does the unit cool a medium sided room? (15x10ft) yes actually. Is the unit loud? In my use case, not really.Am I happy overall with the item? Somewhat, but I believe for the price I deserve better and so do you.If it’s all you can afford, get it. If you can afford something from a reputable brand then go for that instead.Price: 4/10Delivery time: 8/10Delivery condition: 4/10Items supplied: 3/10Cooling: 10/10Noise levels: 7/10Remote: 3/10Pretty much if it wasn’t for the fact that it actually cools my room it would be back with the supplier by now.

    Awesome aircon
I must say, I’m not sure why some people are moaning about this unit. This is the second machine I have purchased in the last two years, the firs unit was a cheap unit and was very loud and it was freezing or nothing so I thought I would pay a little more and ended up buying this one and I am so glad I did as it is much more superior to my other machine.People complain about the noise but trust me this machine is quiet compared to most mobile units, it cools very well, cools my medium sized room in minutes, silent mode is very very quiet so great for sleeping. The normal cool mode is a little louder but only when the compressor thing is running and when its extra hot, usually the lower you drop the temp the louder the machine, but if you keep the temp above 21 it is pretty quiet compared to other machines. The electric use is pretty darn good as well, I have solar panels on my roof (not owned by me) and when the sun is out I can run this machine for free so I don’t think they cost nearly half the amount of electric as other machines.I am very happy with my purchase and if I get the cash I will most deffo purchase two more of these machines for other rooms.I feel much more awake when using this machine, my lungs are not great as I smoke heavy and have damaged them over the years and struggle to breath in the hot weather but when this machine is on it feels like I have a new set of lungs, so I really could not be happier, if all goes well I think I will stick to this brand from now on.People have also complained about issues regarding the exhaust out of British windows, if you have a small open out window use the strong cardboard from the aircon box and cut a piece to size and then cut a hole a little bit smaller than the size of the pipe (in order for it to get a firm hold) then attach the card to the window with sticky velcro so you can move it to a different room or to close the window if needed and it works very well. The only issue I have is that the pipe is a little short but it’s how they are made in order for them to be efficient, the longer the pipe the least efficient the machine will become so be careful about lengthening the pipe, just put the unit on a table like I did.Awesome machine, an absolute god send!
