This aluminum alloy flashlight has a sturdy metal belt clip that can also clip onto clothing , and a detachable wrist strap . I attached the strap securely by pulling the smaller cord through the hole in the belt clip and looping the larger cord though it. The flashlight is IP67 waterproof , which means it is protected for short periods of immersion in water and has extended protection against dust.The light arrived with instructions to take out the battery and remove the plastic film that seals it.I put the battery back in and tested the light. It was working but the instructions also say to plug the light in and to fully charge it before use. There was a little hangup here because the cable thatcame with the flashlight fit the input on the light too loosely and kept falling out; it couldnât make contact . That was okay because like many people I have many cables. I found one that fit and plugged the light in. The LED on the power/mode button glows red when charging, and green when fully charged. It must have been mostly charged when I received it because the green âreadyâ light came on in less than an hour.I donât really anticipate needing the red, green, and blue colored lights, might possibly want to usethe UV light setting . I appreciate that I donât have to cycle through all the colors every time I use the flashlight . Single press the button for white light, double press for the colors. Hold the button down to turn off.This is a great little flashlight and I look forward to using it for years to come.I photographed the colors; the UV light didnât register on my camera so I aimed it at a piece of blue phosphorescent glass and photographed that.
