Studs Down – With the studs down the mat is a traditional wheel stabiliser. The studs dig into the ground and supply the tyre above with apt support. With the wide zig zag ribs on the top the tyre can easily find grip.
Studs Up – Having the studs up will mean the zig zag ribs are in contact with the ground. This provides an anti slip base that can be used on solid surfaces.
Levelling Ramp Stabiliser – Alternatively the ‘Studs Up’ position can also be used to lock a level up ramp in place, preventing it from sliding along a smooth surface when you attempt to drive up it in your motorhome or van. The large surface area of the mats will also prevent the level up ramp from sinking.
