Lightweight
I have been contemplating buying something like this item for a few years to reduce heat loss and increase efficiency in windy conditions. I had even considered making my own. I saw the price this was going for and took the plunge, after reading the reviews. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to tell their account, both positive and otherwise. Lightweight vs flimsy? I bought this to be lightweight, which it is, so will accept that I may need to support it with a rock or two sometimes. Pins coming out? I decided that I will accept the breadth and (light)weight as is, so I crimped top and bottom of the plate tubes, which took about five minutes. End of pin loss problem. The plates are stamped out of very thin alloy to keep the weight down, so may be a little sharp. A few minutes with some fine sandpaper will cure this. As for the imperfect finish, I did not buy this for its looks, rather for its function and given the price, accept the blemishes caused during manufacture. I’m looking forward to using this windshield for many years to come and would recommend it.

Wind breaker gas ring shield ideal
The product although looking quite flimsy is once stabilised a good solution to the conmon problem of blow out.Care is needed to ensure you donât knock the shield once itâs in use but overall a good value product that serves its purpose

Cheap and cheerful… not for snowflakes
Cheap, cheerful and does the job… only thing is it’s a bit flimsy and really quite sharp on the edges, watch your fingers… Trying to get it back in the bag is a mission as its so tight, and being sharp and tight just means that bag really isnt going to last, why it had to be quite so tight who knows? Would happily pay for 30p worth of extra material if it means it’s 5mm bigger.. all the said as long as your not a complete tool who should wear a helmet everywhere it’s ideal ðð»

Must have bit of kit for camping
Perfect for protecting my little camping stove and kettle on a windy morning in Scotland. Folds away neatly into a handy little pouch. It also has two ground anchor’s for extra sturdiness. Happy customer!

Good value windshield, you may need to tinker with the wires :0)
Really lightweight in a nice little carry case. To my minor irritation it arrived with part of the product missing, the folding panels are attached to each other by vertical wires. Other reviewers have noted that these keep falling out. One of mine must have fallen out during packing as my windshield arrived in 2 parts with some of the wire that should have been there to hold these bits together, completely missing. The other wires tend to fall out at speed when you handle it also! Anyway rather than send it back, I decided to fix the thing myself by threading garden wire through it. I have replaced the original wires with slightly longer bits of garden wire which I have crimped at the end of each panel to prevent them falling out in either direction. This has worked very well.. I would say that this is a low priced item and a good way to get some metal panels for a windshield, just be prepared to wire them together yourself if you want to make it a bit more sturdy :0)
