these things are brilliant 4 night camping trip didn’t deflate once and far better sleep quality than on the old inflatable airbeds that have lost half the air overnight then feels like your on a bouncy castle. wish purchased ages ago . pack really small and pack bsck down really small …. unlike airbeds .

Better than I expected, though I think it’s a bit pricey
So I turned out being fairly impressed with this camping mat. I found inflation to go well and the mat provided decent support. The pillows aren’t too high, which I personally like because I have my own camping pillows that go on top and if the mat’s pillows are too thick then overall my head would be too elevated. But these see just right. There’s decent airflow due to the tufted nature of the mat so it helps reduce moisture accumulation while laying. I also appreciated the dual exhaust ports for when it’s time to deflate– they help avoid trapped air pockets that keep you from rolling up tight. It was a little tricky figuring out how to fold the mat lengthwise to get it to fit in the carry bag, and the pump’s location makes it a bit less than obvious how to do that. But after one misfire I got it wrapped up nicely. One thing potential buyers should be aware of (and something that didn’t occur to me until after I got the mat) is the amount of pressure to be comfortable vs the number of people laying on the mat. With two people, you need less air pumped in as the weight of both bodies firm the overall mat up. However, at this level if one person wants to have a nap on their own, the mat will be underinflated and they will need to pump it up to be comfortable. Then it will be too firm to two. This is only an issue in these particular circumstances, but if you don’t want to futz around with air pressure to accommodate split sleeping schedules you might want to consider single mats that fasten together as an alternative.

Don’t waste your money
I bought this to go on a 4 night camping trip and it was a very uncomfortable 4 nights. This deflated before I even went to bed without lying on it. Don’t waste your money, this air mattress is a piece of CRAP. Sending it back was a lot of hassle as well as I’ve no printer to print off the labels so I had to get them printed off, then make time to get to the post office which cost 22 euro to send from Ireland which I only got a refund of 10 euro for postage.

Packs very small for a double camp bed
I have a small FlextailGear battery pump which blew this up in 1m 30 seconds. Not bad for a double mattress you might think. But this is due to the fact that this mattress is not very thick when blown up, and regardless how much I tried, I could not get it firm enough to stop my body touching the floor. So I would not expect this mattress to insulate much from the ground. So definitely a Summer mat then. The one thing I would say is that it rolls up into a small pack size so it would be easy to pack.It is not much bigger than most single pads actually.I suppose that its 1705 grams is not too heavy either considering it is a double. But certainly NOT for backpacking. It seems to be made differently from other pads in that it has a kind of ‘eggshell’ appearance or large dimples if you like. The material is better than old style camp beds, but not as good as some of the other modern pads. This pad like most of the modern pads has a built in foot pump which is useful. Not a bad product overall, but you can buy similar single pads that are designed to be locked together to make a double. So this option could be more versatile. If the pad was a bit thicker and made of more robust materials than I would have added another star.
