Great tinted sunscreen. Good for days you don’t want to wear a ton of makeup or plan on being in the sun. Works great against sun.
My 2 cents –
IMAGE Skincare PREVENTION + Sun Serum SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen for Face4 ½ stars rounded up to 5. This very lightly scented (citrus) facial sun serum arrived in a sealed, branded box which lists all ingredients. The 1.0 fl oz amber glass bottle is protective, and the white pump locks and unlocks with a simple twist. Both the box and bottle are fresh / clean looking.Iâve been wearing this sunscreen for several days. Itâs a physical/mineral sunscreen (15.6% zinc oxide) that provides full-spectrum protection. This very lightweight sun serum (the directions say to âshake well before useâ) has a slight yellow tint to it but easily blended into my fair skin. Thereâs absolutely no white cast. One good pump covers my face and neck, and my acne-prone, combination skin is left feeling soft and moisturized. Iâm a big fan of the smooth, matte finish. This sunscreen absorbed very quickly with no tackiness.I saw the polysilicone-11 on the ingredient list and thought this sun serum might not work for my acne-prone skin (silicones can clog pores), but this is a silicone elastomer that doesnât suffocate the skin. It actually contains sebum absorption and control properties and is the ingredient to thank for the smooth matte finish and powdery feel. Iâve experienced no spots while using this sunscreen and have looked forward to applying it in the morning.This sun serum contains a lot of other excellent ingredients as well: squalene, lecithin, ginger root extract, camellia oleifera (tea) seed oil, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (a form of vitamin C), apricot kernel oil, safflower seed oil, and aloe leaf extract. The ones that may be allergenic for some are the perfuming agents: orange peel oil, limonene, citral (an EU-26 fragrance), and linalool.Vegan. PETA Approved. The bottoms of the box and bottle that I received in May 2023 were stamped âEXP 03/2024â. âManufactured in USA from globally sourced ingredients and components.â
Farmer’s Daughter –
It’s not often that I’m crazy about the scent of something, but this stuff smells amazing! It’s a delicious citrusy scent that is quite intoxicating. And the fragrance is all natural, so it even works for someone like me who’s sensitive to synthetic fragrances. I love that aspect of this product. Just be aware that the fragrance is light and not very long lasting. This product glides on smoothly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling overly greasy or looking white like plain zinc oxide will do.What I don’t like is that it caused a mild burning sensation for an hour or so after I used it. I didn’t develop a rash or anything, but it appears that my skin doesn’t like something in here. I happen to be sensitive to many skincare products, so it’s not necessarily the fault of this product, but if you have very sensitive skin, I might choose a different product.

I have fair skin and tend to burn pretty easily. I like to use SPF on my face especially so I was interested in trying this one out. Overall it works pretty well. I am prone to breakouts though and got some mild acne using this. I think my skin could get used to it eventually though and not react if I used it consistently. Iâve been using it on my chest and neck with good results too.

IMAGE Skincare PREVENTION+ Sun Serum (SPF 30) is a broad spectrum UVA/UVB mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide (15.6%) that Iâve been using daily for the last week or so. Itâs effective as my pale skin hasnât gotten a burn or any color despite direct sun exposure in hot, sunny weather. This has a pleasing, subtle orange scent that I assume is from orange peel essential oil and fragrance ingredients such as limonene, linalool and citral. These can cause irritation, though I have sensitive skin and using this hasnât caused any noticeable irritation.This is a tinted sunscreen in a nice pump bottle. I have an olive hue but my skin is light and pale, and I donât see the tint on my skin. It might show a little on some, but itâs really sheer and the color disappears into my skin. Iâd say it tones down redness a bit (but really doesnât cover it) and adds the slightest color so I look slightly less pale, but itâs not a substitute for my foundation (and doesnât affect my foundation color). Mainly, the tint eliminates any issue of a white cast from the zinc oxide.I have dry, sensitive and mature skin, and this formula suits my skin well. Itâs a thin liquid that feels really lightweight. It smooths on easily and doesnât take any effort to blend. It doesnât look streaky or settle into my lines. This formula absorbs almost instantly and leaves my skin smooth and soft. This is a comfortable formula that feels hydrating. I donât find it greasy, but I have dry skin and it does have emollient oils (e.g., squalane, rapeseed, safflower, etc.). This leaves my skin with a lightly dewy finish. Love it. 5 stars.
