Top skin protection without the sticky greasy mess
This premium skincare product and sun protector comes boxed and supplied in a tube with mirrored cap. The tube also comes with a tamper proof seal.Unlike traditional sun protector I only needed to apply a very small sub-pea sized amount of this to my face with a finger. It dissolves into the skin incredibly quickly leaving no white, sticky or greasy residue. It has a very mild sweet almost honey and vanilla fragrance and feels fantastic on the skin. Not only can I feel my face glowing, but the skin feels incredibly soft and supple. The product will sting the eyes if applied too close although much less prolonged than some sun protectors. It’s also water resistant which is great when rinsing my face after applying, I can’t vouch for swimming with it (this is the UK after all).As to whether it offers value for money, you will need to make that decision. This is a recognised top brand when it comes to Skincare and it certainly feels and is packaged like a premium product with a soft light consistency that you would not expect from SPF50 protection.

    Super expensive sunscreen containing Ectoin
This is a review of IMAGE Skincare SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion.Let’s be honest, at the current price of £62 for 73g of lotion this is a staggeringly expensive facial sunscreen. The reason is that it contains Ectoin – the latest/newest ingredient, which is now superseding hyaluronic acid as the magic hydration ingredient in premium skincare products. I ordered this cream for my wife, who loves expensive lotions and potions. She reports that it feels light, spreads well, does not feel greasy and does not leave a noticeable residue. Moisture wise, it is similar to the hyaluronic acid products that she already uses. Can’t comment on the SPF factor as we haven’t seen the sun for days.

    some ingredients of possible concern
At the time of this review, the ingredients list isn’t given on this product listing. For those who want it, here is the ingredients list. I also did a quick analysis of each ingredient’s safety status, to the best of my research ability at this time:ACTIVE INGREDIENTS- Homosalate 7.3% – safe up to 10%, potential endocrine disruptor.- Octisalate 5.0% – Generally safe up to 5%- Octocrylene 9.9% – Generally safe up to 10%, concerns about free radical generation, some concerns it can be an endocrine disruptor,- Zinc oxide 7.0% – SafeINACTIVE INGREDIENTS:- Aqua/Water/Eau, – safe- Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, – Generally considered safe, but PEG compounds can be contaminated with harmful impurities like 1,4-dioxane, a potential carcinogen.- Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate, – safe- C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, – safe- C13-15 Alkane, – safe- Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, – safe- Hydrogenated Castor Oil, – safe- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, – safe- Ethylhexyl Stearate, – safe- Isoamyl Laurate, – safe- Glycerin, – safe- Ethylhexyl Palmitate, – safe- Phenoxyethanol, – safe- Euphorbia Cerifera Wax,- safe- Polyhydroxystearic Acid, – safe- Sodium Chloride, – safe- Acetyl Zingerone, – safe- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride,- safe- Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponiables, – safe- Tocopheryl Acetate (form of vitamin E) – safe- Ethylhexylglycerin, – safe, Potential for minor skin irritation.- Hydrated Silica,- safe- Phosphatidylcholine, – safe- Mannitol, – safe- Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract,- safe- Methyl Propanediol, – safe- Benzoic Acid, – safe, Potential for irritation and allergenicity.- Ectoin, – safe- Palmitic Acid, – safe- Caprylyl Glycol, – safe- Stearic Acid, – safe- Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, – safe- Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (form of vitamin C), – safe- Panthenol (form of vitamin B5) – safe- Phenylpropanol, – safe- Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate – safeOverall, it looks like most of the ingredients are ok, but one or two are of a little concern as potentially affecting hormones (endocrine disruptors), and Octocrylene has a slight concern as potentially creating free radicals, especially when exposed to UV rays. Free radicals are linked to DNA damage. Free radicals are also linked to carcinogenicity, though studies on the specific carcinogenic potential of octocrylene are limited.

    Absorbs beautifully, super moisturising.
The Image Ultra Defense Face Moisturiser with SPF 50 comes in a boxed plastic tube. The direction state to apply the sunscreen to the face, neck and exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. To maintain protection, reapply at least every two hours or more frequently, especially after perspiring, swimming or towel drying. The sunscreen is fragrance free and absorbs beautifully into the skin, leaving it feeling super moisturised. It doesn’t leave any residue, including the awful white residue that a lot of sunscreens leave on the skin. This makes it perfect for me to use on my face as a makeup base.I don’t have sensitive skin, so this isn’t something I personally need to consider when selecting skincare, but suffice to say I’ve not experienced any issues using the sunscreen.

    SPF 50
Indeed, the SPF 50 sunscreen lotion is devoid of any noticeable white residue. It provides ample hydration and imparts a subtle radiance to the skin. Notably, the packaging conveniently indicates that it offers 80 minutes of protection, which is a commendable feature.

    spf 50 face cream
low scent and spreads well only a small amount needed, left face feeling moist and no sticky residue,

    Expensive but very nice
This is a nice to use moisturising sun barrier cream which I am using daily on my face. It provides total protection from sun damage and does not leave a telltale white colour on my skin, although it does look at bit white for a few seconds when you first apply it I found. It is incredibly expensive for a small amount, so it would not be something to use on the body in large amounts. You can tell it is good as soon as you put it on. It does not cause any reaction on my sensitive skin and although it is beyond my budget, if I could afford it I would buy it.
