Brilliant for the price
Can’t complain based on the price, slight kink in one part of the hose and found winding it up initially quite tricky, but it works perfectly although the instructions could have been clearer / easier to follow.

Decent product. I paid £40 for a 20 m hose reel. Kind of disappointing that Iâm going to have to cut 3metres off to use as a connector to my tap. Not mentioned in the description and think thatâs a bit crappy to be honest.Just either let buyers know or include a small extra length of hose. I need 20m on the reel and this has annoyed me.

We had our other hose stolen recently and needed a replacement. Some of the reviews on this one weren’t great but I ignored them and glad I did! It’s a great hose and does exactly what it’s meant to.

Does the job but not sturdy
As the reviews said, instructions are ridiculous, but having followed the steps below I have a connected hosepipe. But itâs leaky and the spray nozzle already has a hole in the end from being dropped by my toddler (1/4 – 1/2 metre) onto decking. Shame as I thought the brand was the one to go for so didnât expect leaks so soon

This Hose comes packed in component form, and you are expected to assemble the various bits using a small 2 page set of instructions consisting of pictures and very little text.The pictures are very small, and not really clear, and I could see why anyone who had not used the Hozelock system (or equivalent) could get confused about the assembly.Having used the system before, it took me about 10 minutes from opening the packaging to a fully working system. As for the Hose, it works great, and does the job perfectly.So, a 5 star product let down by not having a simple set of written instructions. Hozelock – what would it take to include these, describing what each of the connectors are for, and how to attach the connectors to the hose ?For anyone buying the product – Start by unwinding the hose from the reel.Put one end through the plastic loop on the inside of the hosereelUnscrew the top of the connector built into the hosereel (see the supplied pictures in the product)Slip the unsrewed top over the hose, and press the end firmly into the hosereel connector.Make sure the hose is pushed right down into the connector.Screw the top section of the connector back. This grips the hose and keeps it in place.Wind the hose back onto the reel.Now cut off a length of hose which is used to go between the water tap and the centre of the hosereel.Make sure you cut off enough hose to reach, but not too much. Depends on where the tap is.Attach the 2 grey coloured connectors to each end of the cut length of hose (not the red one).Clip one of the connectors to the centre of the hosereel.Now attach the tap connector (you must have a screw thread tap to use the connector supplied)Now attach the red connector to the end of the hose on the reel.Clip the remaining end of the short hose from the centre of the hosereel to the tap connector.DO NOT TURN THE TAP ON YET.Unwind the hose from the reel (all of it).Attach the supplied hose nozzle to the red connector at the end of the hose.Now turn on the tap.Above may not be perfect instructions, but they should get you through the assembly.

Habe mich wieder für eine Trommel von Hozelock entschieden, nachdem die Alte bald 26 Jahre gehalten hat. Ist von der Funktion einfach und alle Anschlüsse waren auch gleich mit dabei. Für Leute die ihre Trommel nicht mühsam zusammen friemeln möchten, weil alles in Einzelteilen geliefert wird, nur zu empfehlen!

Nachdem ich nun einige Schlauchrollen von Markenherstellern im gebrauch habe sollte es dieses mal eine preisgünstigere Variante werden. Für den Preis ist die Schlauchtrommel und der Schlauch wirklich gut. Es ist nicht Vergleichbar mit Premiumherstellern aber bei diesem Preis kann man wirklich nicht falsch machen. Wenn der Schlauch einige Jahre hält bin ich zufreieden.
