Glad I bought it
Since the start of this heatwave I have tried to convince myself to try this, finally gave in and bought it. My first thoughts were how effective can a 5000BTU really be. It’s absolutely fine for a medium sized room. The cool air kicked in nicely within 2 minutes and is powerful enough to reach me about 4 meters away. So while cooling the room it also does feel like it is instantly cooling you. Very simple to use and does exactly as you hope – cools you down in a way that a fan can’t. Noise wise I was pleasantly surprised. It’s no worse than my fan. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars really is the pipe setup. It’s 6 inches wide and quite hard to control. It’s rigid and while trying to stretch it, it does fall out of the attachment. The setup of the pipe was not fun at all and I’m still not really there with it. If you have a sliding up and down window you will not have issues as you get an attachment with it. If you have a window that opens out sideways then you will need a solution. For now I wedged it between 2 hefty candles and just stuck the hose out of the the window with no insulation to keep the outside air from coming in. It still cooled the room nicely with this set up on a 25 degree day.Overall I absolutely am glad to have it, but will seek out a longer more flexible pipe.

Good for 1 summer
We stored this aircon the best we could, made sure it was clean, not covered and well in sight during winter. We used it again last week as it was getting hot and it does not work anymore.So unless you want a aircon for just a summer: it works perfect for that! If you think it will last: def not. Dont even bother

Not great, wouldnât recommend
Really not great, I bought this for a room smaller than the recommended size that it should be able to cool, didnât cool the room. I then put it in my small 8×7â office, it was better, but still not great. But will say the communication from seller was very good.
