Very effective for new build homes or any rooms needing cooled air
This does exactly what it’s meant to. 16 degrees is the lowest temperature & in a smaller room within about 25/30 minutes it’s very cold. The down side is that it is quite noisy on the high setting. I’ve had it on all night in the bedroom to sleep during a heatwave & there is a night mode which turns off all the lights & you can set it to automatically shut off. I got used to the noise & I’d rather be able to sleep in a cool room than sweating & not being able to sleep.

Haven’t slept so well in ages.
Sound isn’t the worst once the rooms cool and the condenser calms down. I’m a light sleeper and can sleep through the night with this running.Pulling around 800W at full tilt. 130 with the fan only. Nice, clean, cool air all day.

Almost a necessity nowadays
I bit the bullet on getting a portable aircon and I should have bitten it earlier, because it has made such a difference. The noise level isn’t too bad. The cooling is very efficient. It was a bit of a faff getting the hose attached, but that was down to my poor motor coordination skills more than anything else. It cooled down my living room (4th floor of an apartment building) quite quickly. I like that it’s on wheels, so you can move it around if needed. The cooling vents are adjustable too, so you can direct the cold air flow. The window vent that it comes with is only suitable for sliding or sash windows: I used the cardboard from the box it came in, and the vent as a template to make a vent hole, and taped it to my tilt-open window frame and it worked a treat. Remote control is very useful and useable, and even came with the batteries. I like that it works as an air conditioner, a simple cooling fan, or a dehumidifier, so it’s versatile. I took a gamble on this, because the brand was unfamiliar, and I didn’t have a large budget, but this was a good buy and was worth the money. If the price maintains, I might get another one for the bedroom. Do bear in mind that this is *heavy* — I did struggle to get it up the stairs on my own, but I am not very strong, so ymmv.

Fantastic Product, Effective, Noise is not bad at all!
Very pleased with this. Effective, and an excellent price point. Yes, it makes noise – It is not much worse than a loud fan/or fridge and if you know how AC works, its actually very impressive how ‘quiet’ this unit is. Totally sorts out a stuffy room, in my case my home office. I often wear headphones when working anyway, so forget this thing is even on, other than the freezing cold room ofcourse! Looks very discreet in any room, its smaller than you expect as well. The functions are a fantastic, as everyone else states, I wish ‘Low’ was a bit lower but do understand the limitations of a powerful unit at such a small size, can’t do it all. Set up is very simple, delivery was very quick, and product was extremely well packaged. Note – For this to work, room should be airtight. Like many UK homes, we have casement windows – this unit comes with a mechanism for sliding windows only. So worth getting a velcro zip net which are easily available on Amazon and cheap, or you can do what i’ve done and get a piece of clear acrylic cut to size, that slots into the casement, with a hole cut in for the extractor hose to clip into. Over all very happy, please don’t be put off by ‘noise’ as this is inevitable with an all-in-one unit (remember if you’re using this whilst sleeping and find it a tad too much, ear plugs exist!). These small units are a lovely luxury to have if you don’t want permanent AC installed.

Ready for summer!
This unit is functioning well. I am suprised how cool it gets. When the refrigeration kicks in at the start it is slightly noisey which is expected. Good thing is it only lasts a few minutes then its running cool and quite. As you can see from the pictures I have modified the window adapter kit that came with it to vent through the living room door which was the most convenient exhaust opening for my use case. I just had to remove the letterbox to expose the hole and a bit of craftiness made it all come together nicely. Only downside for me is that it blows sideways (left side from the front) and the lowest fan speed is still high for me. So a little noisey and overpowered for my taste, however its more the fact that it blows strongly towards where I am sitting even though its oriented at 90 degrees from me. Maybe I will put a plastic gaurd on one side to block it a little.

 Wow, what a difference this has made during this hot weather. I live in a flat with my dog which was suffering with the heat, the heat coming through the roof has been unbearable no air and impossible to cool down, I came across this air con unit and I must say it was worth every penny, within half hour it was like walking into a fridge, do not hesitate it’s a great buy, even the dog’s happy with it.

An effective cooler, but the noise!
This is a very effective cooling unit.It’s a very noisy unit in operation.I really really wanted this to work for us, especially as it was priced very well, but jeepers, it’s so noisy – we couldn’t live with it. Sure, it turned our bedroom into a sub-zero meat locker, but we were lying awake, praying for sleep and wishing it didn’t sound as if we were in a wind tunnel.The vendor was very good with regard to return and replace, so my advice is if that if you feel compelled to evaluate this, unwrap it carefully and store the packaging until you decide to keep it.It’s quoted as 65 dB (A, I assume() which by way of comparison is about the same as a vacuum cleaner or lawn mower, so we were probably over optimistic that we could use this in the bedroom.Another notable missing feature is that you can’t set a temperature and the unit stop when it is achieved, or at least I couldn’t get it to do that, so you can only set a timer for it to run for regardless of the termperature.I see a lot of reviews here without the same complaint as mine, so perhaps I’m the one being too fussy…
