Take it with you fan cooler
Since the menopause I have suffered greatly with the heat, especially now we have hotter summers. It’s a real downer if you are like me. Always dripping. Since then, although I’m 72 and no longer menopausal, I STILL suffer from the heat. I can be sitting in front of the tv perfectly fine one minute, then pouf the heat just envelopes me, especially the neck and face.Anyway, I came across this neck fan and thought I’m that desperate I’ll go for it and give it a try and, well, it does work to an extent. It is fairly noisy, especially when you’re watching tv. I’ve had it on setting 1 and it’s still quite noisy. I have good hearing. I don’t know what it’d be like at settings 2 and 3, and I can imagine that it might interfere with the audio on the tv. Anyhow, it has helped. Just as the temp on my neck and face starts rocketing I put my neck fan on and so far it has stemmed it, and it becomes comfortable for me again within a short time. If I were the designer, I would have angled the fan to hit the face and forehead more, but it works pretty well and is worth trying if you suffer from the heat. BTW the fans are within the collar so you won’t get caught up in the blades. One day we’ll be wearing portable mini air conditioners around our necks, then that would really work! Good luck.

Possibly useful but with inherent flaws
Not the most expensive of neck fans here but more costly than another I have from elsewhere, which gives some comparison. A decent idea – cooling the person rather than the room. I am grateful for it in the very hot weather. Reasonably robust construction though not the lightest. Variable speeds (and therefore noise). Charges from my phone charger.What I don’t like:Shape – a tendency for the fan to slip backwards off my neck. Oddly slippery construction overall. Is my neck too broad for it? Do I need a way of attaching it at the front (could that choke me?) or greater grip on the underside of the fan?Noise – a tendency to drown out the world around you with this grinding away next to your ears. It doesn’t bother others and sometimes this can be useful, restful even. But with TV, phone or similar it can demand volume from those devices too high not to be a nuisance to others, even on the lowest setting, and headphones defeat the purpose of the device.Battery – short duration with a tendency for the fan to run out of juice at a crucial moment. In which case, what are you supposed to do – tie yourself to the charger? And then the eventual disposal of this will come with yet another device with an irreplaceable battery – hardly green, is it?Overall possibly a useful device for short run intermittent use in hot weather, but with inevitable (?) flaws. So inconvenient that barely used even in hottest temperatures.

Am using this neck fan for now one week and I really love it. Keep my neck cold and avoid sweating. I really love it so amazing!!!!

Wouldn’t buy this again
I bought this item and checked it worked okay. It worked brilliantly, just what I needed for my holiday. I charged it up on the day of going and it went flat almost straight away. I tried charging it again for to see if it was me but again, it only worked for about 5mim. I am so disappointed as I really needed it on holiday. I can’t even send it back

not very quiet!
 I will start with the good points. these are very comfortable being light weight, also having the flexible mid section means it will fit those of us with larger/wider necks. my daughter has one with a fixed width which was no good for me. the air flow is pretty good on the highest setting BUT here is the negative point, it is far from quiet or low noise, in fact it is like standing in a wind tunnel! having said that, they are great for me as this weather is not my friend so I need my head to stay cool

Noisy, micro USB
Bought this (claims to be less than 25db) and a different brand (claims no more than 35db) at the same time. The other one is noticeably quieter, when it should really be the opposite. Also, this one uses micro USB, which is very inconvenient as USB-C is now by far the most common in Europe (the other one I bought is USB-C). Need a couple more for our family of four, definitely won’t be getting more of this one.
