A Soothing Shield for Sensitive Skin
The first notable aspect is its fragrance-free formula. Many skincare products come with overpowering scents that can irritate sensitive skin, but this day cream is refreshingly gentle on the senses. The absence of fragrance is a huge plus, especially for those with skin that easily reacts to added scents. The cream’s main ingredient, Aloe Vera, is well-known for its soothing properties. My skin felt instantly hydrated and calm upon application. It’s a relief to find a cream that doesn’t cause redness or discomfort, but rather provides a soothing shield to start the day.Another significant feature is the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 20. Living in a region with a fair amount of sunshine, having daily sun protection is crucial. This day cream offers a decent level of SPF without leaving a heavy or greasy feeling on the skin.Furthermore, I appreciate that it’s made in the UK, reflecting a commitment to quality and standards. The 50ml size is also practical for daily use without being too bulky for travel or storage. After consistent use, I noticed my skin feeling more supple and looking visibly healthier. The cream’s moisturizing properties are effective, keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day.In summary, this is a standout product for individuals with dry and sensitive skin. Its fragrance-free formula, soothing Aloe Vera, sun protection, and UK production make it a reliable choice. I’d recommend it to anyone seeking a gentle and effective day cream.

Day Cream – Includes SPF 20 & Moisturises / Hydrates Well but Not the Most Lightweight Cream
This small 50ml tube of day cream arrived presented in a simple cardboard box with an information leaflet. It is wrapped in tissue paper and has a twist open lid but unfortunately doesn’t have a tamper proof seal in place. However, the size of the tube makes it ideal for carrying around in a handbag or for travelling with hand luggage. It has a creamy consistency which is easy to apply with a natural mild scent due to the exclusion of any added fragrance meaning that the scent comes from the botanical ingredients.Personally, I didn’t think that this day cream was the most lightweight cream but this may be due to the inclusion of SPF in the formula. The day cream offers a SPF of 20 with both UVA and UVB protection and the cream doesn’t leave a white cast at all which is refreshing. The day cream has been formulated for dry and sensitive skin with good quality ingredients and so far, I have not experienced any irritation or adverse reactions and the cream didn’t leave any stickiness or greasy residue. The cream includes lots of botanicals including aloe vera which is a well-known ingredient for both soothing and rehydrating the skin, shea butter for hydration and improve skin elasticity, chamomile is inflammatory, calendula good for hydration and green tea extract provides anti-oxidants to help fight the signs of ageing. It is a good balance of providing protection for your skin as well as delivering hydration effectively and it felt my skin feeling soothed and hydrated. It is easy to incorporate into your skincare routine before applying make-up but do remember that with any sun screening product the SPF does wear off so reapplication of a SPF after a few hours is very important if you are exposed to direct sunlight. The formula is both vegan and cruelty free and is free of parabens and synthetic colours too.You don’t need much at all to cover your face (I used far too much the first time round so learnt my lesson the hard way!) so this tube should last a good amount of time if you use it for your face. Priced at £25 at the time of reviewing, this is a nice day cream made in the UK which contains lots of good quality ingredients including a reasonable SPF. It left my skin hydrated but did feel a little heavy on my face which is likely because of the sun protection.

    Eternal Skincare – Aloe Anti-ageing Day Cream SPF20 (50ml) Fragrance Free…
I’ve been trying my best to like this product, but I just can’t for too many reasons. I’m not saying it’s ‘bad’, just that it’s nothing special. It is literally just a moisturiser like any other. It offers some nice hydration, leaves a shine on the skin (I assume due to the SPF) and absorbs quite nicely, but I can get all that anywhere, so what makes this tiny 50ml bottle worth £25.00?The first thing that I noted along with the hefty price tag and small size of the bottle was that since this contains SPF, a tiny squeeze is never going to cover you for sun protection. You need to use a LOT of any product that contains SPF for it to work (two full tablespoons at LEAST – yes, that’s generally the recommended amount). Looking at the size of this bottle, if I were to use this as my main SPF and moisturiser, I’d get through it in a week or maybe even less. It’s just not feasible to use this for the SPF protection, not to mention that an SPF 20 is far too low (in my humble opinion that’s based on many years of research on the topic of SPF).For all this product claims to be fragrance free, it does give off a quite potent smell which (there’s no nice way of saying this sorry!) reminds me of an old lady type of scent, so… not nice. It’s also a quite strange yellow colour I’ve never seen before in a moisturiser and I did find it left a little bit of a whitecast on my skin at times.Going back to the price, it’s the biggest no-no for me. It’s crazy to expect £25.00 for a very small (50ml) tube of cream that – to be brutally honest – isn’t any better or worse than any cheap branded moisturiser out there that you can pick up for a few quid AND get double the size of the bottle!I’ve tried to wrap my head around it before writing this review, but I just don’t understand what makes this so expensive. If it’s to do with the natural ingredients, there are many other natural brands out there that manage to do what this brand does without the extortionate price tag and in far more generously sized bottles. It does come with a leaflet (pictured) that I suppose is trying it’s best to justify what you’re paying for by spinning the natural ingredients angle, but it really doesn’t achieve this.Overall, it’s just not worth the money. It’s just a lightweight moisturiser like any other I’ve tried over the years with a little bit of SPF protection. If I saw this product in a shop, I’d expect to pay no more than £7/£8 for it – and that’s at an absolute stretch.

    Moisture and protection
Great to use as a daily moisturiser on my dry skin. I was happy enough with the ingredients to put this on my face. I didn’t experience any sun or wind burn when out and about using this – the SPF works!
