Easy to use.
Great product. Cut off a small coin thick piece and work between your fingers until all one colour (It will turn your fingers grey so wear gloves) then press a small amount against the wheel and spread with your finger along the damaged area’s.I used a little water to smooth out the top and gave it a good 24 hours to cure before sanding. Easy to sand down and is holding up very well.

Good prep and patience..
This product works well and sets quickly. I take time to mask âonlyâ the area of damage, as donât want to scratch even more of the alloy.Work a small amount into a ball and one colour, apply the putty, smooth out and leave for 24hrs.Spend time sanding back getting the shape right and a flush level with the alloy. The finish is good and ready for painting. My top tip – Donât mask the area, fill and remove the tape before Sanding, otherwise the tape will pull all the putty off!My pics are: Before (kerb rash! Turned away from stationary position!)FilledSanded back.Hope this helps..

Alloy wheel repair
Used this for a small bit of kerb on my wheel , easy to apply and not messy, but the repair I did was too small to really test the product properly. A good price tnou.

Preparation is key
Like any filler/bonder it’s imperative that you clean and prepare the surfaces incredibly well before any attempt to get a good bond.I have used this to repair curb rash on alloy wheels and it works very well.If you’re powder coating after any repairs then you must use a metal filler as standard body filler won’t take the powder well, or cope with the heat required.Used a small file to file down over fill then sanded with 120grit.Continue sanding the surrounding area for a uniformed appearance, I then went to 240 and up to 800.It actually takes a media blast well too (fine) so if you’re looking for an overall small metal repair putty that’s got good adhesion, sets very hard, ideal for powder coating over then this is worth the money.Just remember to clean and prepare the surface extremely well so you don’t have any issues with break off or poor repairs. ð
