This piece of kit is good, it is easy to use and lets you know what is the tread depth of your tyres, very good before a trip under the rain or in snowy conditions since you don’t want your tyres to slip. It’s really easy to use, you basically find the tread in the middle of the tyre where the tyre makes the most contact with the road surface, you fully extend the “needle” by pushing on the top, then you slowly press the device down until the green plastic touches the sides of the tyre, then you carefully remove it and read on the top where the measurement meets the top line of the device.I kept this inside the glove compartment and it didn’t take any space at all. It also has a clip so you could perhaps clip on the document holder of your car if it has one. I’d recommend this product for the good value for money and good build quality, because this could last for years and years.

Item as described.Simple to use, durable, easy to store but difficult to read the scale.By law, you must have a minimum of 1.6mm of tread in a continuous band across three-quarters of the tread width and around the whole circumference of your tyre;so this will help you to monitor wear and ideally, at 2mm inform you it’s time to buy a new tyre.
