[4-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner] In cool mode, it provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 20 sq. m, with a temperature range of 16℃~32℃. Ideal for hot summers and spaces with poor ventilation. Sleep mode, available only in cooling mode, maintains a quiet 45dB noise level for a peaceful night’s sleep. Use fan mode for air circulation, and dehumidifier mode for removing up to 19.2L of humidity per day, perfect for damp or rainy days.
[Fits Most Window Types] Don’t worry about your window type with Dr.Prepare’s air conditioning unit. It includes two types of installation accessories: the window bracket kit fits horizontal or vertical sliding windows (from 25.6” to 50”), while the window seal kit works for push outward, pull inward, casement, awning, and skylight windows (up to 157”).
[Intelligent Sleep Mode] When you activate sleep mode, the air conditioner will auto switch to low-speed operation, reducing noise levels to a quiet 45 dB. The LED panel indicator brightness will dim to 50%, providing less light for a better night’s sleep. Plus, the temperature will increase by 1℃ after the first hour and then another 1℃ after the second hour, maintaining this level until the end. This intelligent temperature adjustment can help save up to 10% on your energy bill.
[Effortless Control] Our air conditioning unit features an easy-to-read LED display and includes a compact remote control (AAA batteries not included) to easily set the time, temperature, and mode. Its 1-24 hour adjustable timer allows you to set the ON/OFF schedule and let the AC work, no need to be at home.
[Easy to Move, Use & Maintain] This portable air conditioner features four easy-roll casters and two side handles for effortless room-to-room movement. The removable, washable, and reusable mesh ensures clean and healthy cooling air, protecting your family from dust and pet dander. Its memory function retains your previous mode and temperature settings, and it auto-restarts when power is restored, except in cases of manual power outages.

Ideal for the UK 3 day heatwave
I’ve always been a little sceptical of these devices as they tend to be expensive to run, have unsightly waste pipes, generate a lot of heat, and in the UK you don’t need it that often. However, with global warming and the opportunity to review this product I have changed my mind a bit.First off, it’s quite compact – about 80cm height and on wheels… so it’s fine to move between study and bedroom but you don’t want to take it up/down stairs too often. The version I am reviewing is 7000 BTU which is equivalent to 800W max. At the time of writing UK electricity prices are about 25p per kWh so that means at max power it’s costing about 20p an hour to run. My suspicion is unless you have one of those ridiculously hot days it won’t get too near to that cost.It has 3 modes – fan, dehumidifier and cooler (i.e. aircon) – I’m only using it for the cooler function and reviewing just that. To use in cooler mode you have to have the extraction pipe connected outdoors – that’s because it takes in air from the front, cools it, and then chucks out the hot waste air out the back. If you let that air go back into the room you are in it defeats the purpose. The pipe itself is 2-3 metres long and a sort of stiff version of a tumble dryer extraction pipe. You can just put it out the window but for better efficiency you really need to seal the window. For sliding windows it’s easy… there’s a panel with a hole you fit in. For casement windows (which I have) there’s a zipped sheet with velcro. A casement window is a window where you open the window inwards or outwards against a hinge (like a door). There’s a generous length of velcro which you attach to the window frame and window, then put the sheet on it, push the pipe through the zipped hole and close the zip as much as you can. I thought it would be a pain to set up but it’s easy… and I can remove the sheet easily enough for the 362 days of the year when I don’t need itIn terms of function, it’s a bit noisy, but it works… it makes my study bearable for work, and for that alone it’s worth it.Definitely recommended.

Nice looking product
It seems fine, I just used the hose on its own for the window, as my windows open out the panel they give is more useful for sliding windows. I have used once so far and it performed well and reduced the temperature in the room relatively quickly. I think the noise level is fairly okay.

Quiet and quality build
I have a similar sized portable air con unit for another room, so it was good to be able to compare while also having the option to run another unit without having to move my current one around.Talking of moving around, the unit is fairly easy to get around, it’s heavy but not so much that you question portability. It is portable. I’d not like to lug it up and down stairs often but it’s easy enough to get about. In fact it also has some small castors underneath meaning it’s really easy to wheel about and get into position.I really liked that it came with a window fixing kit although I have top opening small windows too and it would be nice if the nose was longer so I could drop it out of those windows. The window kit does allow me to use the side opening part of my window however which is why I’m grateful it’s included.I’ve not had good enough weather to really test the performance but my living room was kept nice and cool when it was a bit hotter. It did so without much noise either. Beyond the obvious “air is moving” noise you can hear the tiny rattle of the compressor just behind it but unlike some units I’ve used it doesn’t sound like a truck is in your room. This is comfortable as background but maybe a little much for through the night. I tried the sleep mode just for sound tests and I really couldn’t notice the difference other than it locks the fan speed to the low setting and dims the display. The touch controls are really nice and responsive and the beep is actually pleasant and not in your face. The display is clear and easy to understand too.

Cools the room well
This Dr Prepare 7000 BTU portable Air Conditioner/Dehumidifier/fan is actually a very good piece of kit. It’s easy to set up, The wheels on the base make it easy to move around the room as it’s fairly heavy. It does have handles on the side if you need to carry it upstairs/downstairs though. The air con significantly lowered the room temperature when we tested it on the hottest day we’ve had, which was fantastic. It is very noisy but it’s certainly worth it when it’s humid. A pipe is attached that is supposed to go outside, but the window kit is fiddly to set up so we just put the vent pipe out of the open window. It would obviously work better with the window sealed up though. The dehumidifier works well and collects a surprising amount of water. This will be really good for when you have to dry your clothes indoors in the winter, if it sucks in all the moisture it will dry the clothes quicker as well as help prevent the room from damp. There is a sleep mode so you can have a more peaceful nights sleep with the unit on a lower setting which is brilliant, some find it easier to sleep with white noise as well as it drowns out outside noises. All round it’s a sturdy unit, does it’s job well and will be a brilliant item to have when our summer finally hits!

Really noisy
Easy to set up but very noisy. Really does cool the room down though so does what we paid for, but not sure how we are supposed to get a good night’s sleep with the noise

Life saver
I have felt my life improve since getting this, my flat is unbearably hot in the summer and this has massively helped cool it down. Standing in front of it is genuinely cold.It is definitely loud though, I turn it off when watching TV because it’s so loud, but I think that is unavoidable. It is surprisingly easy to move around because of the wheels, however I wouldn’t say it’s portable because you’d need to set up the outlet tube wherever you moved it to.I personally think it’s good value because it massively increases the comfort of our flat, and it feels high quality.I would recommend getting this if you live in a hot flat or house.

MEASURE WINDOW!! don’t make the mistake I did and measure your window. I believed it would be adjustable to any window but mine was too small. I ended up making it work despite my mistake. At first, it wasn’t working very well. but after an hour or two, it was producing cold air consistently. Even when I turn it off and then on it makes cold air almost immediately so just bear with it for an hour. Assembly is simple and directions are pretty easy to understand. The room it was put in was pretty small and cooled down fast but I’m not sure how it would hold up in a bigger space. Haven’t had to drain the water from it yet but I’m sure it will be a pain.

Easy to install. Like not cooling the entire house while sleeping. Keep the house at 76 deg and my bedroom 66 deg. comfy..

Itâs worth the money!

This works as advertised and freezes our little 275 sq. ft. room. It’s pretty heavy (check weight), so you may need help initially setting up, although it does have wheels. My biggest complaint is that there are only two fan speeds: loud, and louder. Even the “sleep” mode, the fan is still very loud.

Bought this for my 220 square foot sunroom and itâs amazing!! My room is cold even at 68 degrees!! Iâm wearing socks and a sweater. Best investment ever!! A must purchase. Especially like the extra long window accessory. My windows are very long. It fits perfectly.
