Great unit
Bought this for our bedroom and bought one that was bigger than required for the size of the bedroom but it is just right. Iâd recommend buying a bigger one than the technical details suggest. The remote control is a little clunky but works fine.I would not say it was silent. It has 2 modes, normal and silent. The silent mode is quieter but not silent.This replaced a very old unit that I had and itâs much much better. Our bedroom is nice and cool and we slept so well.The sleep mode is a great function too – although pretty much standard in all units.Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent at dropping rooms to a comfortable temperature but not SILENT
I’ve only just received this unit and until I have time to drill through a wall, it’s being vented through an ajar door into the rest of the house. Even with this less than ideal scenario, it’s knocking down the room temperature from an unbearable 28c to a more comfortable 23c.One thing I will say however is that this thing is definitely not silent despite being printed all over the box. On full power it’s a bit like sitting next to a washing machine.

Good unit – sent used product
This is a good machine, quiet and does a good job cooling down the flat BUT beware – we got a clearly used air conditioner. There’s a very dirty full handprint on the inside of the box and the instruction/set up bag was opened.Just be aware that you’re paying full price for something that was clearly returned or refurbished.

Excellent customer service from supplier
Machine works well, no noisier than you;d expect. CGS Stores sent it four days earlier than expected but the casing was broken somewhere in transit. Although it still worked we were worried that it had also sufered additional damage so refused the firm’s offer of compensation and requested a replacement. This came two days later and is doing its job.Their customer service was exemplary – very quick responses, pleasant on the phone and an immediate pickup of the damaged item and replacement.

Absolute disappointment in all its aspects of this portable air conditioning system DeLONGHI.
 The unit in silent mode is a joke⦠the wire cable is too short for a mobile unit, the hose exhaust is too short and windows seal didnât work on my Uk standard windows system!. £700 for a the better brands air conditioner system for this final product. I will returned today

Best purchase ever
I did my search on which about best air conditioning and chose one of the pinguino ones from delonghi which resulted the best option ever. I can now sleep comfortably if you donât mind the noise (not bad when using the quite mode). I would recommend it to anyone that cannot cope with the heat!

Make sure you check the output you need
We brought this as an urgent requirement for the office, we knew to check the output we needed for this but many would not, make sure you buy one large enough to cool the area you need.Also what may not be obvious is that you need to be able to place it near a window.
