Super pleased
We bought this on the back of a recommendation from some friends and it hasnât disappointed. It gets really cool and makes us much more comfortable. The only downside is that itâs quite noisy. But you get used to it.

Good air con unit for a small space
This air conditioner is very much suited a cooling a small space and does the job very well. A couple of minor things though to report, one which could be more of an issue than the other…The supplied venting pipe is very, very rigid and isn’t that easy to bend without a lot of buckling and it seems to like to go where it wants to rather than you being able to direct it easily. The other issue is that the air leaves the unit at a 45 degree angle to the left rather than directly forward, so careful positioning is required to get the optimum cooling.

If you can afford it you wonât regret it
It is noisy like all AC units will be however itâs changed my life- Iâm sleeping so much better in the hot nights. It makes the room you use it in ice cold which is refreshing. It works quite quickly and thereâs a noticeable difference in the room within 10 minutes.

Good air con, simple but small
This 5000 btu unit does the job but don’t expect it to cover more than one medium size room, still a good investment to keep my work space cool in this sporadic british summer weather.Rather low cost to keep running also, worked out to be around £2 for a whole day of cooling with a few moments where I just ran it in fan mode between cool downs.For the current asking price of sub £200 it’s a nice low end option but if you need one to cool a wide area or more than a bedroom size space buy a more powerful air con unit closer to 9000 btu and above.

Very Happy – Extremely Surprised
I donât normally leave reviews, but found them helpful when I was looking for an air con unit for summer, so hopefully this might help others.I was expecting another hot June, so bought this a few months before. Today is the first time using it.After a stupidly hot sweaty night with not great sleep, now was the time for me to use it.Quite simplyâ¦..itâs excellent. My master bedroom was unbearably hot, so we put this in about 6PM and let it run for a few hours with the door closed.Expecting to be disappointed at 9PM when I cracked the door open, boy were my 9 year old and I surprised. The room was like a fridge!The temperature was so cool, and it took the unbearable temperature right down to comfort level. (Which for me is freezing)We have windows where they hinge from the top outwards, but the hose was plenty long enough to leave the unit on the floor, and we put the hose behind the curtains, out the window. No issues at all.Obviously, noise is subjective, but personally, I could easily sleep with this machine pounding at full tilt! However, as I had the wife and kid wanting to sleep in the room (as it was so cool), I turned it off, but the room kept cool all night anyway. My house is a pretty standard 3 bed semi built in the 70s. So farâ¦I have not had to empty it at all after many hours of use.I would suggest that if you buy this unit, leave it stood upright, switched off for a good 24 hours before using it to let the gas settle, as it would have been bounced around in the back of an Amazon van no doubt.Would I buy it again? Hell yesâ¦.without a doubt.

Efficient but noisy
This is a very efficient air conditioner, quickly cooling our bedroom through the exhaust which I ran out of the window using a window kit to stop hot air coming back into the room.It has not stopped due to the condensate water level but I have drained it every 2-3 days. Very little actually needed draining but having read a previous review I thought I’d check it regularly. I’d say that this unit did not have a problem running for 3 days without attention.Unfortunately the unit is loud regardless of the slow or fast fan speed. There is no quiet mode and the sleep mode is a timer to turn off, not any kind of noise-reduced setting. As the compressor turns on and off with the thermostat controlling the temperature it is very noticeable and woke me up a couple of times. That said I still slept better than the previous night without the unit on when our bedroom had reached 27degC.I’d suggest a good compromise is to run the unit for 3-4 hours before bedtime, keeping the room sealed, but set the temperature a couple of degrees below what you prefer. Then turn off the unit just before going to sleep and the bed room should stay cool enough overnight. It worked for us last night and seemed to be the best overall solution.The remote control works well and has all the same functions as the front panel.In summary I am happy with the efficacy and value for money but would consider a quieter unit if I needed to buy a second one.

Be Careful
I bought this to be used for our bedroom as its too hot for an old fella like me at the moment (English summer). First night it was fantastic with my wife controlling it through the remote control. Second night the remote stopped working. In the morning when she picked up the remote it burned her hand and smelled badly of burning. If she hadn’t touched it I feel there was a real possibility it would have caught fire.Phoned Amazon this morning and their customer service was amazing. We are returning the product as we do not feel confident in its safety.
