The A/A+ (A on cooling/A+ on heating) energy efficient BLU12HP portable air conditioner (cooling & heating) will create the ideal conditions for your space all year round. It provides a powerful 12,000Btu/3.5kW of cooling or heating and will cool or heat large rooms, offices, spaces of around 30 square metres. The BLU12HP uses R290 refrigerant, so you can be sure you are purchasing an environmentally friendly unit which complies with industry standards. This energy efficient A rated model is packed full of useful features and is essentially a 4 in 1 unit – Air Conditioner, Heat Pump, Dehumidifier and Fan. 4-in1 Multi Functional: Portable air conditioning unit with cooling, heating, fan and dehumidifier function, complete with 1.5m expandable exhaust hose included. The BLU12HP 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner delivers an instant cooling relief for your home or work place. It can be used all year round due to it’s heating and dehumidifying function.
New R290 Refrigerant: uses a natural high efficiency gas, propane R290, which has no greenhouse emissions. The natural refrigerant gas is non-toxic, eco friendly and also offers energy savings. Already respecting the 2020 requirements you can be sure you are purchasing an air conditioning unit which already complies and will last you very many years, unlike air conditioning units that still use polluting gases.
Self Evaporating Function: Reduces the need to regularly empty the water tank as the unit recycles approximately half of the condensed water and uses it to cool off the inner cooling coils, which allows the unit to run more efficiently. It then disperses, or evaporates, the remaining water, along with the hot air, via the hot air duct. This cuts out any unnecessary water collecting inside the unit or in an outside container.
Complimentary Window Sheet, Remote Control with LED Display to switch between Modes, Set Temperature & View °F & °C. Easy-roll omnidirectional casters help you move your “BLU12HP” wherever it is needed most. Low noise level (49 – 53 dB(A)), in a class of it’s own, including sleep function means you can use it virtually 24/7 if needed. PLEASE NOTE: The BLU12 does NOT have a swing function. It is designed to cool down spaces by distributing air evenly without the need to have a swing function.

Customers like the quality and remote control of the air conditioner. They mention that it works well and blows cold air straight away. They appreciate the value. However, some customers find the unit heavy and bulky, making it difficult to move. Opinions are mixed on ease of installation and noise.

Brilliant product!
Bought the BLU12HP 12,000BUT Aircon from George’s Industrial Services Ltd storefront and I’m so far extremely happy and surprised with the aircon.===PACKAGING===So this unit comes with all sorts of doodads to make your life easier. There are several different window fixtures which enable all the heat out and less heat in. Some of these fixtures also stop those pesky spiders from coming in. It’s dependent on your window type but these fixtures are a nice addition.Of course you don’t need to use them. You can just pop the hose vent out the window and leave it at that!===FIRST IMPRESSIONS===It’s big and it looks sleek! Very nice to look at and great UI. It’s noisy but it’s an aircon so it is what it is.I was very happy to see you can press a button to cycle between cooler, dehumidifier, fan and heater.Comes with a remote control too which actually has a screen to show you what the unit is doing! Very useful!===FIRST USE===I turned this unit straight into cool made and dialed it down to 16c. This means the unit will attempt to make the room reach 16c, not that the air is 16c. I placed a thermostat infront of the fan and reached 11c air breeze. On [LOW] setting it’s actually quite strong and can feel the air from the other side of the room. The air coming out of the back wasn’t even hot but that might be because it’s mid-may and the unit isn’t working at full capacity yet.Getting a room from 25c down to 19c took around an hour which is fairly decent. There’s a slight gurgling watery sound which I presume is the collected water being recycled around the cooling coils at the back.===SECOND/THIRD USE===Kept the unit on for several hours on [COOL] and needed to change it over to [FAN] once or twice as the room got reasonably chilling.Leaving the door open meant the cold air was making it’s way downstairs and the wife began to comment how chilly it was getting.I decided to drain it to see how much water came out after 3 days and there was a reasonable amount. A good pints worth of water.===SUMMARY===Very impressed to be honest. For the price at the time of purchase (399) you can a 4-1 unit that’s at 12,000BTU, multiple window fixtures (even a through-wall fixture) and a remote control that has a screen on it.The instructions are brilliant and super easy to read. Setup was as simple as unboxing, plugging it in, sticking the hose exhaust hose out the window and turning it on.Very happy with this. It’s powerful and I expect the 2022 summer is going to be a breeze!===ADDITIONAL===My first order came damaged in delivery. I contacted the seller and they provided same day support. They then sent out a replacement which came the following day. They were very apologetic, polite and their service was brilliant and swift.New unit was delivered in perfect condition and old unit was collected the next day.I felt reassured during the whole process and got courtesy calls to make sure I was happy and didn’t experience any problems.

Fabulous Purchase
Our large bedroom is in the loft space of our house and consequently becomes extremely hot in the summer, last year was there was an entire month when the temperature didn’t dip below 30 degrees night or day. So after a brief hot spell early in June we decided to invest in a portable airconditioning unit and chose this one as it was 2020 compliant and appeared to be powerful enough to cope with a large space. It arrived promptly and was easy to set up – it took me about half an hour to assemble the hose and a couple of other bits. It is incredibly heavy which makes the portability of it a bit limited. I had thought we could move it around the house on hot days but now it’s up two flights of stairs that is where it is staying! We haven’t used the remote, it’s quite easy to set up when you go to bed using the sleep programme, which changes the temperature slightly after you get to sleep in line with your body temperature changes. It has many other functions that aren’t very well explained in the instruction leaflet, and the instructions for the remote are sadly lacking too, so maybe we could be using it differently/more efficiently, but we have the airconditioning function sorted. The hose could we slightly longer, because we are in the loft space we have Velux windows one side, which aren’t suitable to accommodate the hose as we cant seal the window (or the light) if we use them, so we have to use the small high window on the other side of the room. The hose is at full stretch to reach the window which means we have no manoeuvrability with the unit – we will try and get an extension – it would be good if there was a choice of lengths at the time of purchase.Luckily we made our purchase just before a spell of extreme weather. Despite soaring temperatures, we have been able to maintain temperatures of 20 degrees in our bedroom allowing us to sleep. It does make a noise, but it’s the sort of noise you adapt to (white noise?) pretty quickly and it hasn’t disturbed either of us – and has, in fact, masked the thunderstorms that we have been experiencing during the hot weather. The other bonus is our sleep quality has improved on the nights we use it – we try not to use it if it isn’t necessary as we have one eye on the electricity bill – and the snoring (which can be a problem for both of us) has completely stopped! That wasn’t listed as a benefit on the description, but maybe should have been ;-)It was an expensive investment, and we know we will have running costs going forward, but it was still money well spent.

Itâs pretty good
Was delivered on time, easy to set up. It blows lots of cold air straight away, but it takes quite a long time to lower the room temperature. Even on a really hot day it makes the room cool to be in, but as soon as you turn it off you notice the heat again. So itâs great if you donât mind it being on all the time. Itâs pretty noisy, but I believe they all are⦠too noisy for me to sleep with it on, so need to put on for many hours before bed.
