As bright if not brighter as some torches I have, works with one AAA battery
 Very pleased with my order of 2 portable flashlights with integrated whistle.The integrated whistle in the flashlight works very well and it is loud. The whistle works without inserting the AAA battery.The flashlight is very bright and as bright and almost as bright as some of the torches I have, I suspect this is because the power source is the AAA battery.One flashlight/whistle come with a lanyard and one comes with a carabiner which is handy. I have already hanged one flashlight in my corridor.The back of it is not waterproof. Very impressed.

 I got this product for a different reason than advertised, Iâm prone to falls due to my disability and I thought this would be a good idea if my partner was upstairs and Iâd had a fall downstairs and I needed to catch his attention.Delivery of this product was very good, I ordered it and it came the very next day and was packaged very well.In this set, you get 2 lightweight whistles, one being on a detachable lanyard, so you can put it around your neck and the other having a clip, so you can clip it onto your bag, clothing or keyrings etc.Each whistle has a torch which has 3 settings, one very bright light, one a bit duller and another setting which flashes, this takes a AAA battery in each whistle, which isnât included, which is a shame, luckily I had some lying around.The lights are extremely bright, so I wouldnât suggest looking straight into it, as it definitely affects your vision for a little while.I ordered them in the color blue and itâs a nice color, itâs like a metallic, shiny blue color.These are not the greatest quality, they do feel like they are made with a cheaper plastic but they do the trick, I just think they would break easily if I were to drop them.It does take a bit of effort to put the battery cover back on, when you have put the battery in too, itâs quite difficult to push it into place.As long as you blow it correctly, you do quite a high pitched noise when you blow the whistle, it is quite loud, but you have to make sure you blow it at the right angle and not put your mouth around it too much.Theyâre very easy to carry around with you, so would be useful for many different kinds of activities, including hiking and camping like advertised.I did test it today and my partner went upstairs and i blew it downstairs, he said he did hear it so seems like it will do the trick just right.At the time of this review, theyâre £7.99, which I think is a good price, I just think it would be better if the batteries were included for this price.Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

Super bright and sturdy whistle light combo
Ordered as a stocking stuffer for my outdoorsy partner. He has a fair few survivally type whistles/lights. This was a fun extra and more of a recreational gift. The whistle isnt loud enough for real situations where help might be needed (more hardcore treks or adventures). However, it is a perfect addition for our hobbies such as local recreational hill walking or woodland archery shoots. The light is bright and uses AAA batteries which is handy for packing spares in day packs. Overall it is too big for light weight packing. But good for an overnighter or day trek.

Good light, poor whistle.
 This emergency whistle/light has an excellent light, bright, easy to switch on and with a good âflashingâ option. Inserting the single AAA battery each whistle needs is easy, the batteries are not supplied with the pack. The pack contains two whistles but only one lanyard. The disappointing thing is that the whistle is really hard to hear. The sound does not carry far and I have asked several friends all to try it in case I was not blowing it correctly but we all found it far too quiet to be heard from even a short distance. The sound is very high pitched and may be more audible to a dog, but I do not have a dog so cannot test that. Overall, good if you want an emergency light, poor if you want an emergency whistle.
