The KYR range of stand-alone, portable air conditioning units are a great option for a flexible cooling solution. Fitted with easy roll castors this mobile air conditioning system can be conveniently moved from room to room as required, perfect for warm summers at home or hot days in the office. The KYR35-GW/AG-H can also be used for heating, making it ideal for year-round use. A ducted exhaust hose is included with the system to vent the hot air to the outside of the building along with an adjustable window mounting panel for a quick and easy set up. Portable air conditioning units benefit from an automatic inbuilt condensate pump, and can condense the water out with the exhaust air, so there is generally no need to empty the water tank (except in extremely humid conditions). Wish i had got one sooner
I love this, being asthmatic and the recent heatwave keeping me up at night, i made a snap decision and bought this aircon unit to help me sleep better and wow does it work.Enough setting to satisify and nerdy geek out there and can connect to Alexa, Google home or just run from an app on the phone, but is easy to operate from the buttons on top of the unit or the remote control, its so simple.Its big and heavy and is easier to unpack with 2 people.Unpacking is just cutting the tape around the base of the box and lifting over the top. There are recessed handles on the unit to lift of the bottom piece of packaging.It does come with a window attachment, to block the open window and to attach the pipe but this is only suitable for sliding or sash windows. You can vuy a generic one for upvc side opening windows from any diy store or just stuff something in the window to stop the hot air coming back in.The pipe is 1.5 meter long, quite rigid, but holds its shape when you have it in place. It was long enough to fit outside my windows with some to spare, but due to the length you have to have it by a window to vent it properly.Once unpacked though the unit moves so easilly on my laminate flooring.Plugged it in, i also let it stand for a few hours as if a refridgeration unit and you have to do it with all newly delivered fridges and freezers, although i couldnt find anything about that in the instructions.Irs noisy, and reviews for any aircon unit will tell you the same.Its a fridge and quite a high powered fan, so, it is noisy even on its lowest setting.Just sit in you room with your fridge and freezer, they are not silent in operation. If you want silent aircon either have one installed on the wall with the unit outside (still not silent though) or open a window instead !I have a small bedroom and have the unit sutting right beside my pillow, i would get used to the noise and sleep with it but my wife cannot.You may be able to sleep with the noise if this unit is in a bigger bedroom away from the bed.I have noticed from my smart meter this costs approx £1 an hour to run, thats with the unit set on 17° and the medium fan speed so you may want to consider how long to actually run it for.I put this on for a couple of hours before going to bed then turn it off with the lights and so far my room has stayed comfortably cool for the night. It just starts to feel muggy in the morning as the day warms up.To be happy with an aircon unit you have to realise what you are buying and accept some things. Cost of running, noise, size and weight of the unit etc, as withost things in life there are trade offs. Me, im happy i got it and just wished i had got one sooner as its nice having a good nights sleep again in this hot weather.

Does the job. Only downside is that the pipe supplied for draining the water don’t fit.

14000 BTU? It doesn’t throw enough cool air out at all.
I dislike the coldest setting on the machine it goes as low as 16 degrees but it does not cool the room to that temperature. I would say it cools it to a ok temperature but if it says 16 degrees then that in my opinion is what it should cool the room down to.

Bought this machine, in the heat wave. Best thing I’ve bought. It’s not quite but it doesn’t keep you awake. Remote easy to use . We’ll worth it

Cannot complain! Brilliant bit of kit, cools the room down a treat (approx 24m sq). Bit noisy, but, helped us sleep! Runs at about 35p per hour.
