How to do: Just put the metal head into the tread of tyres, press the black flat edge onto the edge of the tyre to read the result.
How to read: Tire tread depth gauge tool reads in 32nds. Red range on bar: 0-3/32 inch(0-2/25 mm); Yellow Range on bar: 3/32 – 6/32 inch(2/25-5/25 mm); Green Range on bar: 6/32-32/32 inch (5/25-25/25 mm).

Does the job
It is very lightweight and reasonably well built but tmnit the best quality. It shows correct values of tyre thread depth and it is clear to read it. You can quickly check how much thread has left on your tyre and if you are not a professional mechanic then 3 colours – red, yellow and green will definitely give you some hints about how safe your tyre is and when to change it.Although, it doesn’t feel too much durable it will do good job for a while.
