Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Essential Tier games for November 2024 are GhostWire: Tokyo (PS5), Death Note: Killer Within (PS4 and PS5), and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged (PS4 and PS5).
Revealed on the PlayStation Blog, all three games will be made available at no extra cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers on November 5. Death Note: Killer Within also arrives on its launch date after being revealed today, October 30.
GhostWire: Tokyo is a first person action adventure game set in, unsurprisingly, Tokyo as it becomes overcome with mysterious ghouls and ghosties.
With superb visual design and an incredibly well-realised rendition of Tokyo, GhostWire gets a lot right, but just doesn’t quite have the gameplay chops to push it over the top,” IGN said in our 7/10 review.
Another game sort of set in Tokyo is Death Note: Killer Within, a social deduction game akin to Among Us set in the world of the beloved anime series.
Killer Within was only revealed today so not loads is known about it yet, but it launches straight onto PlayStation Plus on the November 5 date.
Something completely different rounds out the month as Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged brings its fast paced racing action to PlayStation Plus.
In our 8/10 review, IGN said: “Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is an impeccably detailed and blisteringly fast racer with incredible graphics and rock-solid arcade underpinnings, although it’s guilty of forgetting to suitably cater to its wide audience at times.”
GhostWire: Tokyo, Death Note: Killer Within, and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will be available be available at no extra cost until December 2. Those who’ve yet to add October 2024’s PlayStation Plus games to their library — Dead Space, WWE 2K24, and Doki Doki Literature Club — have until November 5 to do so.
