Louisville Lands Verbal Commitment From Juniors Finalist Lily Willis

NEW COMMIT: Cary, North Carolina native and Junior National qualifier Lily Willis has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Louisville beginning in Fall 2025.

She will join Julie Mishler and Kaitlyn Sallows as a member of the Cardinals’ Class of 2029.






A breaststroker and IMer, Willis trains year-round with East Carolina Aquatics and most recently competed at Richmond Futures where she earned silver in the 200m IM. She also took second in the 200m IM, as well as fourth in the 400m IM and fifth in the 100m breast, at the ISCA International Senior Cup in March.

Last winter, Willis finished 14th in the 200 IM and 22nd in the 100 breast at Juniors East.

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:02.51
  • 200 breast – 2:16.05
  • 200 IM – 1:59.98

Currently a senior at Green Level High School, Willis placed third in the 200 IM and ninth in the 100 breast at the 2024 North Carolina 4A State Championships. She took fifth and seventh, respectively, in those events as a sophomore.

The Cardinals finished second at the 2024 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships.
